There was much more 'real' activity in the Preservation section at that time than any other part of the boards, and it is the same situation these days. Do you frequent that section often? If you don't, sure, its easy to overlook the activity.
Hell, if someone only visited the Memorabilia and Collectibles section, they'd think that this entire forum is DESERTED, same deal.
