RELOADED:
From a new beginning...
The Matrix Reloaded: Hacked Edition provides a different perspective to this Trilogy's second film.
Neo, the prophesized savior of mankind, is haunted by memories of his death at the hands of Agent Smith and is searching for his place in the impending war against the machines.
Agent Smith, similarly effected by his own death and rebirth is much more certain about what the future holds for himself, the Matrix and Neo.
Utilizing footage from all three Matrix films, Doctor M has returned the flavor of the original Matrix's experience, pace and characters. Neo's One-ness is restored, story holes are filed, and the nonsensical and unnecessary trimmed to provide a more self-contained and satisfying experience.
REVOLUTIONS:
To a new ending...
Returning to the real world following the events of Matrix Reloaded, Neo brings news of his failure to stop humanity's oppression and the impending destruction of both worlds. Having learned that the prophesy they all relied on was yet another construct of the machines, can Neo still save the world? And can they save him once he has?
In a more rough edit than Reloaded and using footage from all three Matrix films, Doctor M has returned the flavor of the original Matrix's experience, pace and characters to Matrix Revolutions. Neo no longer has magical powers in the real world and is more human and vulnerable. Similarly the programs are more machine and less emotional. The nonsensical, unnecessary and unsatisfying have been removed to give us a different series of events and a new ending to a Trilogy that showed more promise at in the beginning than the final films were able to deliver.
