Even so, the first Batman: The Animated Series which ran 1992-1995 is still far & away the best of the DCAU shows. Best writing. Best animation. Best of everything. Which is not to say I didn't enjoy the animated series of Superman and the Justice League, because it was great to see more variety of characters and all, it's just that overall I think Timm & Dini's first Batman series was their best.
Kevin Conroy was indeed a great Bruce Wayne/Batman, otherwise it wouldn't be his voice I hear when reading Batman comics. I wonder what'll become of him now that the DCAU appears to be finished and they've got that new guy Rino something doing the young Batman on the vastly inferior "The Batman"...
