It's 1:85.1 because most of the original source material was 1:85.1 from an OOP german laserdisc.
it is letterbox, no pan and scan on any of the parts.
It was to jarring to go from
2:35.1 then to 1.85 and then back and forth.
So we decided to keep it all 1:85.1
For some reason the disc was created that way. Also it was easier to add the restored extended fairytale sequence.
It's complicated but that is what we had to work with.

However, thepicture of Katana smahing through the window of the car on the back of your disc is not in the film.

there had been two euro cuts, one with fairytale and one without, the one without was the most commonly used.... it;s a wierd story with this movie...lol
