He may do stupid things and be stubborn, but Lucas is one the whole quite intelligent. He's just stubborn.


From my point of view, McCallum is a little pathetic worm who shouldn't even have the job he was given. He's not worth any attention or grief. In fact, any of his bad qualities only speak to the great mistakes and irrationality of Lucas, who is the one who hired McCallum in the first place. 'Nuff said.


Part of the problem with McCallum is that he is difficult to find a baseline to judge for because he just does what Lucas says. He's constantly parroting George. He's difficult to judge on his own terms, because he doesn't display enough presense of mind to find out what he's really thinking, just what George thinks.
