So do I, that's perhaps one of the main reasons I felt so connected to this anime.

Great comparison on the Samurai Champloo versus... whatever the heck that is. American animation is pretty much on adult cartoons like simpsons, family guy, south park, the adult swim ones, and even those are now getting old.


Anime makes every thing better.

Panty shots of 12-year-old girls aren't what I'd classify as 'cute'. It's more like.. annoying at best and pedophiliac at worst.

The Japanese version of PPG just seems to miss the point. Yes, Power Puff is a bit of a pastiche of superheroes, but they're still supposed to be competent.

A fan edit of all the DBZ episodes into movies by saga would be cool. Every episode is only ~18 minutes long, and filled with needless crap that could be removed. You could end up with maybe 6 good movies when all was said and done.

So true, I hated the namek saga, hell even the Freiza Saga wasnt all that good. I liked it once Trunks made his apperance. The whole cell arc was rather interesting, espceially Gohan's japanese SSJ2 transformation. Tamashi tai tamashi, best song in the series.

Actually, I think the Namek Saga was good in that it focused on someone other than Goku for a change. There was a lot of bad filler in the later episodes, though, and the Goku vs Frieza fight has shot after shot of the two just standing there, staring at each other. Ugh. It drives me nuts.

The TV version sucked, never liked it. The movie remake was better. I did like however, one scene. It was the part showing the alternative universe in which all was great. Loved the magna Angelic days for taking this route.

Of course, this problem is non-existent in the manga. It's so much better than the anime. The Goku Vs. Freeza fight is really fast and exciting in the manga.

It's simply because there's nothing improper about showing a child fully nude from the front. It's showing adults naked from the front that starts to become a problem on broadcast TV.

Case in point. When Goku was a child, he was shown completely nude all the time. When he was an adult, he was never shown nude again in the manga, and the only few nude shots of him in the anime were from the back.

There is no lingerie in space…

Oh this episode was never shown on tv.
The twenty-sixth episode, "Going Too Far," never aired in Excel Saga's original run on TV Tokyo because it was purposely too explicit for broadcast.[9] The opening sequence is altered to contain pixelated nudity and more blood, and the closing presents the translator on fours, wearing a collar, and singing the "Bolero," as Menchi translates into her own language. The episode itself, in addition to much more violence, blood, and gore, features graphic sexual situations variously containing nudity, lesbianism, soaplands, and a love hotel—and instances of all of these involve minors. The director himself remarks that it "felt good to go past the limits of a TV series," although he thinks it "is not something that you should do too often

The Japanese don't see it as sexual, right? A nude child to them is just 'cute' or funny. Despite their strange fetishes, Japanese culture as a whole is probably LESS sex-obsessed than America's.
