I think the music sounds ok, maybe a bit loud when there is talking going on, apart from that fine!

Now, after sleeping and watching it again, I feel dissatisfied with the music of the edited scene, I really have problems with finding music for it. I have done a new version with other music, it only shows a part of the arrival, but I will also change the music of the other parts that were shown in the clip before. And this one is only a very rough version regarding the cut of the music:

THE OLD REPUBLIC: Arrival at Coruscant v.2

I didn't watch the first one, but I did watch the second one - I thought it was great, and a great choice of music too. Matched up very well.

I know this is slightly off topic, but I noticed when playing Lego Star Wars that by the end of the games, they were heavily using music from the OT. Even though they were prequel games, the designers used music from the OT because it was more dramatic and intense. And you know what? It made the prequels seem more epic (even though it was just Lego Star Wars) and that is why I have good feelings about this project.

On a side note - Anakin's turn to the dark side was more convincing in Lego Star Wars than in the movies. And it was only mentioned in one level's title crawl. How sad is that?

@andy_k_250: I made the same experience with Battlefront 2. The PT music may be good to underline action scenes and such things, but the OT music really supports happy and tragic events and it creates sort of a magical atmosphere, which the PT music could never build up.

A while ago I did a clip of Mace Windu's Death. I think it's a more shocking and touching version than the original. I guess the original download is already dead, so here's a new one:

Windu's Death

I don't understand why John Williams changed his style so much, but I know it's not impossible to correct his mistakes.

Amazing, truly amazing, what a a bit of music can do for a scene. Great job!!

Your redo of Windu's death was great. The music was perfect. See? There were so many hints of OT scenes in the PT, and this project will really help bring them together.

Hey Master Qui-Gon, could you tell me what music you used in that Mace Windu death scene?

Also, could you make a list of what scenes you changed, and what track titles/cues you used? I know the SOTE score front and back and I'm interested to read what material used and during what part of the film. I'd be very appreciative if you complied.

For Mace Windu's last scene I used a track from the soundtrack of ROTJ: The Battle of Endor II. The part of it that you hear in the video clip starts around 4:50.

I thought about adding the titles of the music cues to the list of scenes in my first post, but I want to keep some little surprises for the release.

SOTE has some good pieces to use for this edit, but sometimes it's too medieval. I guess you'll have to wait to find out which pieces I used. Sorry

What tracks are you using from KOTOR I and II and where?

Sorry if I didn't express clearly, but I don't want to make a list with the scenes and their changed music, because I want to keep some surprises for the release. And changes are still possible for already altered scenes, so, let you wait is the only thing I do for you now.

Windu's death scene was great like that!

Only thing is that you can still hear the original music, and it sounds like you're trying to drown it out with new music.

My stance on revising fan edits.

I abandoned working on Episode I! It's too much work for me at the moment. School is taking too much of my time! I won't delete the project files, maybe someday I'll continue working on it, but not now.

For those of you who are disappointed now, I will continue releasing short concept video clips of scenes with changed music. Perhaps they can be inspiration for other editors. So, here's a concept clip of an EpIII Mustafar scene (music sounds a bit odd, because I couldn't get away the original music):

Mustafar1 (better sound quality than before)

Could you post in on premiumshare or Yousendit? And possibly as a MOV file?

Again, could you possibly post these files in AVI or MOV formats?

@Weezer12: Are you an Apple guy or are you too lazy to install WinRar?

Also if you can't get his files to play download VLC player it will play almost anything.

Sorry, WinRar doesn't run on my computer. Thanks for the clip, though.

EDIT: Master Qui-Gon, what version of the Force theme did you use for the Immolation scene?
Author

Yeah, what was that? The scene turned out great.

Nice job again, MQ. Is there anyway maybe you could do a sample of adding some Battle of Yavin/Battle of Hoth music to the Battle of Geonosis in AOTC? The music in there is so generic and over-used. I'm sure you could do wonders with that scene.
