We actually are paying to watch the show. You have to pay for cable to get the channel that it comes on. So in turn we will be paying to see the show.

Not too likely, as I do not even own a TV.

That depends on your situation. See I have a cable modem at home, but I don’t subscribe to cable. Since the modem won’t work without a cable signal the cable company pipes basic cable into my home to make it work. Thus I get the channel in question and I don’t pay for it. Then there are the people that rip shows and place them on youtube, bit-torrent and the rest. You could also go to a local bar and work something out. I have a group of friends that go to a bar to watch Battle Star Galactica and get ripped. Then there are those on this board that still live with ma and pa kettle so their patriarch can foot the bill for this bull shit. Plus I’m sure most of us have at least one “gusher” friend that will buy the show when it’s released on DVD. There are ways of getting such things without actually paying for them if that wasn’t true I wouldn’t have seen the 2004 DVDs.

NOTE: I am not encouraging anyone to break any laws in any way. I just like to point out that this is a world full of options.

The same way I DIDN'T watch the Clone Wars? LOL! What a dumbshit.

I think the longest strentch I ever saw was someone's animated GIF avatar that had Grevious battling some Jedi - all 10 seconds of it. Even that was too much.

MeBeJedi: Sadly, I believe the prequels are beyond repair.
JediRandy: They’re certainly beyond any repair you’re capable of making.

MeBeJedi: You aren’t one of us.
Go-Mer-Tonic: I can’t say I find that very disappointing.

JediRandy: I won’t suck as much as a fan edit.

If the OOT has gotten a proper release before that show airs, then yes. Otherwise, probably no. I'm pretty much done with most of LFL's products until I see the one I want.

I ain't watching shit.......F*** the TV show. Hope it dies a quick ratings death and gets pre-empted by every sports game imaginable.

Now that ROTS has come out, they need something new to milk, so instead of doing what the fans want and restoring the OOT like they should, they are puting this out. Sooner or later, they'll ahve nothing left to release on DVD and hopefully then we'll see the restored OOT. Perhaps sooner.

When is all this T.V. stuff slated? How long will it last? Just let your franchise die in peace George. You've made plenty of money. If you want more, restore and remaster the original versions of the original trilogy and release them. Then retire comfortably with your loving family. Everyone will be happy.

So we'll be getting more prequel crap...in TV format? Lucas, you should have quit while you were ahead.

He's gunna piss off one fan too many with this show in some way, and one day he's gunna wake up with a bullet through his head and an angry fan being led away by the cops.

I'm not that angry fan, just to be clear.

I might watch one or two episodes. Eh, I never much cared for the Young Indy Chronicles, but I gave it a shot.

I dug Clone Wars ... but had no problem waiting till each "season" was on DVD. If this SWTV stuff survives long enough to make it to DVD, maybe I'll go that route again.

But as for excitement about the project. None. Yawn.

I credit the existence of the prequels for providing me with a whole lot of fun (the 6-week line-ups in Hollywood) and with a way in which I met some good friends. But the last time I actually enjoyed anything Star Wars was 23 years ago ... so I think I'm really over it.

Last time I heard, they had a deal for 5 seasons (100 episodes I think). Of course, at the time, rumors were that the TV series would follow Luke. Yeah, they were going to follow Luke on Tattooine. Maybe they planned to show all the adventures a young moisture farmer can have on a desolate planet in the middle of nowhere. Sure sounds exciting to me

I'm just wondering how long it will last. If LFL need money, they will remaster the OOT, and the cash flow from the T.V. series can't last forever. Why not just leave the franchise in peace? Its done its thing, and for better or worse, SW is not a permanent part of the cultural fabric. Just fix the OOT and be done with it. Let Star Wars speak for itself. The OOT is more than good enough to do that.

More like Lucas couldn't accept the fact that the Clone Wars animated series was a better Star Wars mobvie than any of the prequels.

That may improve The Phantom Menace.
