Does Anyone Want To Do A Potentially Challenging - But Neat - Star Wars Title Crawl For Me?

I am looking for someone who would be interested in taking on a Star Wars title crawl project that may be challenging, but interesting. I do not yet have the skills to put together a replacement title crawl, but I think that this project would not be overly difficult to someone who has experience. The most difficult part would be finding/making a vector image for a replacement of a certain thing in the crawl. Anyone who thinks they might have the madskillz (to pay the billz) should pm/email me for more information. Thanks in advance!

Damn, that reminds me. I need to make the crawl for someone else!

WHat, exactly, did you gave in mind, and why so secretive? (Don't PM me though - I'm at 25 messages )

MeBeJedi: Sadly, I believe the prequels are beyond repair.
JediRandy: They’re certainly beyond any repair you’re capable of making.

MeBeJedi: You aren’t one of us.
Go-Mer-Tonic: I can’t say I find that very disappointing.

JediRandy: I won’t suck as much as a fan edit.

Can you email me about it? My email is listed in my profile. Since you are one of the experts here, you can let me know how feasible this might be. Thanks!

I am still looking for anyone interested in possibly helping with this project.

Basically, what I would like to do is to see title crawls for ESB and ROTJ created so that they begin not with the STAR WARS logo, but rather the logo for each film - the rounded, diagonal box for ESB and the rectangle for ROTJ. Of course, this would probably require having the movies logos in some sort of vector-based graphic, which may or may not exist. After that, I would like to see the episode numbering for ESB and ROTJ removed. Essentially, what I want to see is a kind of backwards retrofitting of the crawls to "match" the original 1977 Star Wars title crawl. The back-story text is fine, in my opinion. It would be interesting to see the ESB crawl done in blue and the ROTJ done in red, but that is unnecessary (unless it is a simple color switch on a finished gold crawl).

If anyone is interested in helping me with this, or doing it for me, I would really appreciate it. I have zero experience doing title crawls. Please pm or email me if you are interested.

I'd really like to see this. Could I suggest using different colors for each? A blue for Empire and a red for Jedi maybe?

That's pretty damn cool.

Hm, I guess Premiere could do it, but I'm not sure. Color replace could change the colors of ESB and ROTJ texts to their respective colors, or rather you could completely redo the texts in LSTextMaker--which is easier than matting out the episode title from the original footage, and you can change the color right there and create a new crawl. The logo should be easy enough if it was on a solid color background, but Premiere renders motion pretty cheesy (meaning it looks like it was done on somebodies home computer). I'm only talking about Premiere cause that's what I have.

Would it go on top of a preservation effort, be like a demi-preservation? What else would you be planning? cause a change in the first few minutes of the film doesn't seem worth creating a whole DVD over.

I tried doing something like this in Premiere once. It was then that I learnt why people use After Effects and and 3D rendering programs to create crawls I still can't do anything professional-looking, so when I finally need a crawl done I will have to come crawling to someone on the boards to help me out (lame pun intended).
