I agree I would also propose to remove the "if only senator amidala were here" nonsense...earlier in the movie she is the leader of the opposition with regard to the military creation act, lets not pretend that just because the droid army was amassing that she would not only change her opinion but be the poster-senator to propose this 'radical amendment'. Then in Sith she still wants the fighting to stop....

I know it was a way to trick Jar Jar but it still feels quite hollow, Jar Jar should know her well enough to know that she wouldnt go along with it.
