I initially cropped because I started with some source material from the DVD release of the "movie" version which was in a cropped letterbox format. One of those little decisions that I didn't think much of then, but realized I didn't have to do when I have the series set right on the shelf. Plus when I did the first one it was kind of a just for fun off shoot, and didn't think I'd do others.

While I like the "wide screens", knowing it is actually cropped is not quite the same.

When I get around to doing the pilot, I'll leave it 4:3.

The CGI FX is created with 3d Studio Max. And again, being more for my enjoyment and not wanting to drive myself insane with details, I could have really strived for more detail in the CGI, but for its purposes it worked for me.
