>Extra frame at the end of the council meeting where Naobi volunteers to search for the N (I can't spell it).
Wow, good eyes. I missed that.
>Sped up/skipping/something like that in the staircase fight with the Frenchman's goons, right before they jump off the balcony.
Can you be more specific? I just don't see it with all the speed changes that are intentional. I'm assuming it was something weird that happened. Did you watch on a PC or a standalone player?
>Extra frame after the closeup of Mafune during a cutaway from the Zion battle (you can see Kid for a split second).
Again can you be more specific as to what action was taking place or any dialog?
As far as the transition to white screens: I only added one (in Revolutions). The others were already there (though I did do one in Reloaded, but only so my cut matched their transition on the other side).
I agree some edits could be better, but I just don't have the skill for it. Reloaded I'm thrilled with and feel it's far superior to the original. Revolutions while better in principle (and story) is not it's all. Your idea was a possibility (in fact I shuffle cards with scenes and tried a bunch of scenarios along the way). The thing is I wanted Neo and Trinity alive and together at the end. I like the Hollywood Happy Ending and went to any length to make that happen. The coma section would have been better if I was able to rotoscope bandages on Neo's eyes and cuts/scratches on the other characters, but the answer to that is NOOOOOooooo.
I will fix the technical bugs though, I'm again trying to get ahold of "The Watcher" for the line to use at the end of the Bane/Neo fight. (If anyone has this movie and can send my just a small clip that would be awesome).
Hopefully I'll get some more input soon so I can make repairs and resend replacement discs.
Doctor M. I'm so sorry. I completely forgot to comment on the movies. It's been a hella busy last few weeks for me.
Maybe I'm just not critical enough to QA but I didn't spot all of the glitches that Commander Courage did. I did notice that first extra frame but thats all.
Reloaded - worked great for me. I loved the flow of the story and it felt much more connected to the original movie. Revolutions - well, I preferred it to the original, but its still the poor child of the three. I did like the Zion break between the action set-pieces. I didn't think I would when I read you had done that. I still find the action a little mind-numbing though.
However your cuts were great. Don't be so hard on your editing skills. You took some very complicated movies and did a great card shuffle on them.
Sorry I can't be more precise or critical in my comments for you - I'm easily pleased - but thanks again for the first run of the discs. I will still PIF either these or any replacements you make.
Thank you very much for checking the movies. I will be fixing the one frame in Reloaded. I suppose without further details I'm going to have to sit through a large chunk of Revolutions on slow to find the other frame CC mentioned.
I've been told that SFV files are dated and not appropriate to DVDs as a checksum method. It was suggested PAR/PAR2 is better, but I have tried 2 piece of software and they all want to build recovery files not a checksum file.
Ok, DarthMallwalker put me onto some nice freeware called JSummer that can do MD5, SHA-160 and SHA-256.
I'm upgrading the checksum of the DVDs to SHA-256.
Unless I hear from the 3 MIA QC'ers I'm not planning on making further changes.
Obviously only 2 of the original QC'ers will get replacement discs (both labeled version 2.0). I do have a couple other volunteers for distribution so things should work out fine.
I'm cautiously optimistic that this project may be finished sometime this... um year.
Final final call to the MIA QC'ers (or those that have helped)... I'm going to start burning v2's today! Any other problems that need to be fixed, speak now or forget it.
Edit: Got a working checksum for the ReadMe file. I don't know WHAT that was about.
How many times have I heard that? Heh heh. I sure hope it's done since I have every intention of deleting the original files to prevent my future tinkering once these are mailed.
Edit: Btw, does anyone have "The Watcher" that can hook me up with one line of dialog?
Oh well. Finally got a hold of the clip from the Watcher. Keanu does say "It's over". Unfortunately there is loud music over the scene; completely useless.
Well, a bit later than anticipated but the (final?) discs went out in today's mail. At least the 3 missing QC'ers can't complain that I didn't give them a chance to get back on board.
Anyone looking for copies on the Pay-it-forward system just ask. 2 copies went to the U.S., 1 to Canada, and 1 to the U.K. (you guys should know who you are).
I will send out another original set to anyone who has good bandwidth and wants to but up a torrent.
If you are thinking of heading in that direction: The Architect looks like someone gave him a goose, and the shot on the back cover isn't even in my edit. Besides that.... I know I know you were just fooling around.
I like the code on the black background motif, if it could be done, it would be cool if it looked like the Matrix-breaking-down code we see in the last film.
I am going to give some thought if any particular images jump out as being definitive of this edit. Maybe a photoshop composite of Smith with the original Oracle in a scene from the Matrix 2? Man that would have been great if I could have actually pulled it off in the film. I suppose it would be misleading though.
Are you thinking a single cover art for a 2 DVD case or 2 separate covers? Definitely wait to you see it before going seriously into the cover design. I don't know how long that air mail is going to take.
Yeah, I dont have the edits yet . I just got bored, maybe I'll just changed Hacked to Squared
I wanted the Arcitect to be looking down on them, kinda god like. But its very hard to get those dam eyes to look down with out them looking incredably odd.
Great stuff all round. The differnt Orical explination was great & the way you saved Neo was great! I was still abit, wait, shouldnt he be dead seeing he just blew up!
Still Great stuff. I'll change the cover art accordingly.
I just figured if he can survive being unplugged while still in the Matrix in the first two films AND the Matrix gets rebuilt, why couldn't he just pull himself back together (or get rebuilt with the Matrix like everone else)? That's only his Avatar in the Matrix. The films make it perfectly clear to us that whatever happened there couldn't hurt him.
From what I understand, the Matrix Online, supposedly canonical and written by the Wachowskis were going to bring Neo back again. So theoretically he wasn't dead at the end of the theatrical cut of Revolutions either, we all just didn't play the crappy MMORPG to find out otherwise.
Yeah, the 'Neo Vision' Shot always convinced me he was alive anyway. MO was abit of a Con, they said you could intreact with film Charcters such as Morphius and even put him on the cover. The he gets killed in the like first cut scene!
I do have the edits and will send them out in the UK. BUT I cant just send them to you due to a lack of cash. I will want a trade. Unless you have the ability to Upload these.
Ell: I'm a bit disappointed by your statement. I can understand financial issues, but requesting trades is pretty much contrary to the whole Pay It Forward system.
PiF is about sending people copies of something so that they can intern send it on to others. This in theory helps the PiF system as more people have more DVDs and Projects to send on.
Im sorry but I just cant afford to just send discs out for nothing.

But Pay it Fowards means it's done without expecting anything in return, except that the people who get it do the same.
