Wow. That's sneaky. I hadn't even noticed that. Nice job. I would still like a pic of the blue vader by itself. Can you send it to me? BTW, is there a section on erikstormtrooper.com with your covers? I couldn't find it.

Thanks. I can send you the blue vader by itself, but I will need to do some photoshop work first. I lost my original Photoshop files, so all I have are the JPGs to work from, unfortunately.

I have been meaning to put up a covers page on my site, but I haven't done it yet.

Erik,

Are those labels full face? Any chance you could post versions without the white area masked out on the inside and outside?

Are you looking for something like this:

Nope, more like the circular disc label you posted, but without the white circle in the middle (and possibly without a white outer circle).

Ok. With or without text? Are you using this as a disc cover?

It will take a little work, since I had to create more of the white space to the right of his face for the disc label. So now I have to create even more to fill in the non-printable area.

Don't worry if it's tricky - I was more interested in seeing the centre bit filled in so it will work as a full face disc label. The outer edge can be guaranteed coverage with a little bit of scaling.

Disk labels have been updated to remove the center white spot. See above.

Just to let people know that an avi version of this can be found by using eMule.

None I'm afraid - really must get around to doing that.

I thought I might also make a true speed (1 out of every 12 fields repeated) PAL version to get the audio at the right pitch - any interest?

I wanted to wait and see if any other PAL viewers would give their opinions first, but that hasn't happened!

Being used to regular PAL I'm not sure if repeating fields would bug me or not without seeing an example. If you've already done some experimentation with this method could you upload a sample for us to see?

Another option that could be good no matter what region you live in would be a true 24fps XviD or AVC copy based off your PAL video and with the NTSC audio slightly sped up to match. Currently I could only play such a file on my computer, but many others here may have no trouble (at least with the XviD version).

Ooh, a laserdisc. The Cheat's playin' something on a laserdisc.
Everything is better on a laserdisc. Whatever happened to the laserdisc? Laserdisc!

I encoded a short sequence and watched it back on my PC, and couldn't see any problem. Whether the same can be said while watching on a TV remains to be seen. At least this way it's only fields, and not full frames, that get repeated (which I believe was the case with the NTSC LDs).

That's what the AVI Pizza-the-Hutt mentioned is (assuming it's the same one I torrented via Demonoid). It's only one-CD quality, and only stereo, but I used all the highest XVID parameters.

Ah cool, I hadn't noticed that; I actually already have that!

I'd love to get a copy of the NTSC (fixed) version when it's finished, and I can PIF to help with the cause.

Demonoid has closed registration; can anyone help me find the torrent and/or a copy of the DVD? Thanks!

I have a similar request as DjinniMan--I went to Demonoid to try to download the DE cut, but couldn't since they're not letting anyone register. Anyone able to help a fellow out? Since it is single layer I could send to a couple other people if necessary. Thankee . . .

Hi!

I'd love to get a copy of both of these on DVD-r. Due to my internet connection being - frankly - pants-cubed is there anyway I could get hold of these? I am willing to PayPal for postage and cost of the discs.

Cheers!

Looks like there'll be yet another DE edition in the future. I've decided to fix a few more things, one being R2's black panels in space and the other being the elevator door that Sluggo pointed out to Adywan (I've done my own version which of course will look quite similar to Adywan's fix).

So, what else is still on everyone's wishlist for ANH? I might even do a little bit of colour correction, as I'm now using the Avisynth method for inserting my changes - certainly the desert can do with some desaturation, as Tellan pointed out in Adywan's thread.

Just don't say laserblasts and lightsabres*

*because I have a new idea for recolouring Luke's lightsabre on the Falcon which won't mean manually painting all of ~500 frames.
