I don't know if this is even possible, but if GL wanted to, surely he could arrange for some kind of seizure of stuff pending an investigation, and things might mysteriously disappear in the process, even if you guys were found to be acting quite within your rights.

So what's stopping us from dressing up like Ninja's and storming LFL and seizing the original (if any) film elements? Lucas has lined his pockets plenty over the years from all of us, so from a certain point of view we OWN Star Wars. I don't give a shit what the law says - when we've pumped enough money into the machine we should have some inalienable right of ownership.
