In fact, I'm pretty damn sure they could easily undo his paralysis with the help of some nanobots or some other trekky-future technology.

He wasn't only wheelchair bound, but completely paralysed. He communicates via two different colored lights on his wheelchair. The thing has wheels and everything. Even for the year 2006 the technology they had for him was dated. They really should just disregard all of the original series, I wish they would not waste time making episodes to explain the smoothness of Klingon foreheads. If an episode with paralysed Pike were to be shown today he would have a floating hover-wheelchair, a Stephen Hawkin's like voice OR they would have just repaired him with nanobots.

Actually when I first heard rumors of Enterprise, I thought it would be cool if they went with Captian Pike. I think they could make an interesting movie around him. However I am really getting tired of prequels, why not take a different approach and move some 40 or so years past the TNG/DS9/Voyager times. It would be cool to see what new threats are around and to see what old ones are and are not still around.
