I'm just curious how you guys print to your DVDs. I know sticky labels can be dangerous and peel off inside your player, but I've also heard cheaper on-disc printers don't work well. I used to work for a production company and we had a high-end Diskmaker Duplicator/Printer but it was a piece of crap and they coded the printer to only accept print cartridges purchased from them, which were a tad expensive.

So, anyone have any tips for getting good cheap prints?

I've found the only way to do it cheaply is to use a consumer grade printer that will print directly onto discs. They tend to be a bit clunky, but it's a better choice than applying labels to the discs, and are much cheaper than the higher quality alternative, which is buying something like a Bravo II disc publisher. I have one of these printers myself, and the print quality is fine for home use. I haven't had any significant problems with it. There is a 3rd alternative, which is buying a thermal printer, but they are not cheap either.

Rikter got me hooked on the Epson R300 printer, and Supermediastore has really, really cheap offbrand cartridges that work beautifully.

In fact, you can get the new model 340 and two sets of cartridges for under $200. Pretty good deal.

My Canon printer prints onto discs, and it's a great printer (excellent quality on photo paper, etc). Also I've heard of DVD +/- R/RW DL drives with built-in "LightScribe" - flip the disc over and it etches in your label using the laser. The only downside is you have to buy compatible discs, which may not mean using the top high-grade stuff you normally use.
Some were not blessed with brains.

Another downside is the Lightscribe print quality is poor, and fades with exposure to sunlight.

Hey guys.

Well I moved and rebuilt my computer and also managed to misplace my cd that contains the cd/dvd printing software for my epson r300 could anyone help me locate the software?

My brother advised me to use this ******.  Now I’m totally satisfied with it.
