Using ADigitalMans excellent guide I have extracted a piece of video from a DVD. But the problem is that the audio is in AC3 format and so when I export it using tmpgenc, I cannot splice up the audio because tmpgenc doesent recognise the format.

I really want a 'complete' avi before editing anything (even though i'l properly unsynch the audio anyway in time) but is there a way to do this without causing it to go out of synch?
