They showed some examples straight from the DVD and the film looks exactly like those bootlegs out there of the laserdiscs. A little washed out, pixelated and strobey.
I know of at least one "fan restoration project" that won't be "a little washed out, pixelated and strobey".....

P.S. Off the subject of Star Wars,....aren't you glad you don't teach at a all year around school? My wife would go bonkers.....summer vacation is as much for the teachers as it is for the students.....
