I love how virtually every poster and promo shot had his suit color corrected to the more traditional red. The marketing guys knew this color was a bad idea.
I don't get how Singer continually says "If you're making a Superman movie, don't be afraid to make a Superman movie." He specifically talked about not overly modernizing the character or the classic elements. Then he screws up the suit. I, for one, found the suit to be the #1 biggest detractor of the film. The Super-Stalker scene was probably #2. Parker-Posey-Should-Have-Been-Lois was #3. After that, I thought the film was good enough.
Edit: Though I have to say, the superboots would merit not even needing normal shoes. They'd just look like cordovan loafers under a business suit. I wanna know how Supes hid the good ol' red boots all these years.
