Weird Lines With Womble

Hi all,
I was tinkering around with some stuff in Womble. Two different movies on two different occassions, both from DVD sources. In the final output by Womble, both times, there were weird faint verticle lines all across the video. Does anyone have any idea what this could be from? Do I have some settings off? Should I use another program instead? Any help would be most appreciated!

I have had the same kind of problems out of Womble. It is caused by the cheap encoder that is in Womble's software.

But womble only encodes video that has been modified. Splicing should leave the video untouched.

Sounds like you're editing a telecined source. These lines become noticible when you're editing, but aren't so much on a TV itself. What is the source?

I've edited evrything under the sun in womble from ripped DVDs to captured PS2 footage and I can honestly say I've never had a single problem with it
