Judging from the trailer, it looks like it'll star out B & W and then become colour, kinda like The Wizard of Oz.

Princess Leia: I happen to like nice men.
Han Solo: I'm a nice man.

I just got back from a press screening and I gotta say....

I loved this movie!!!!!!!!!! It was a GREAT closure to the Clerks Saga!

I'm going to have to watch it again once it opens this week

Anyone seen Clerks X? I found the original ending better. I'll check out Clerks 2. Love Clerks TAS.

This whole town sucks. Kevin Smith should make a film about it.

True, but if you thought that film made North Dakota and it's people look silly and backwards, it's twice as bad in real life.

I'm actually going to Fargo on the weekend - have to pick up the *shudder* mother-in-law from the airport. She's been in Washington for 2 blissful weeks.

I might end up making some enemies, but I have to put this out. I did not like the ending to clerks 2. It all ended a bit too happy for my taste. Now, I'm not saying it shouldn't have been a happy ending, just that this ending concluded everything a bit too perfectly. I will refrain from giving out any details for those who haven't seen it. It just seemed very John Hughes-ish.

Don't get me wrong, I'm happy for the characters in the movie. Happily ever after always gives me a warm fuzzy feeling. Also, the writing was as witty as ever. The seemingly endless tirades about nothing that the first clerks is famous for is still there, if not more so. It brought closure to the Jersey Series. But the ending could've been hashed out just a tad more.

.......but i'll still buy it when it gets released on dvd.

So who sat through all the MySpace member names?
none

Not me. We sat through everything else and got up at the View Askew Productions logo, then the MySpace names started. I watched for several seconds and, when the names starting with "b" came up, called it quits. It was then that I remembered Kevin's appearance last week on Conan O'Brien, when he said something to the effect of "my wife dragged me off to Maui, but I didn't really want to go. Vacation for me is sitting on the couch eating Cheetos and approving friends on MySpace" and mentioned something about 50,000 friends. I wouldn't be surprised if there were that many names on the screen.

Anyway, I absolutely loved the movie, from the dick & fart jokes that somehow never get old to the most vile, disturbing situations that still manage to make me almost spit Dr. Pepper on the guy in front of me. On the way home, my wife and I decided that "Clerks II" will join that section of our movie collection that will be held in a secret floor safe under the dresser, not to be shown to our eventual kid(s) until they're more than old enough to know better.
