The way I see it, you should be able to trust the accuracy of the subtitles, and I find myself a bit insulted that it would lie to me. I remember encountering this on Pioneer's tape of DBZ movie 3, where the Japanese text reads, "The Ultimate, Decisive Battle for Earth" while the subtitle under it reads, "Tree of Might," which isn't even close to a translation!
