Since you asked nicely I'll correct you.

Rotoscoping isn't the correct term, rotoscoping is the process of tracing movement on film frame by frame. For example, lightsabers are rotoscoped, an special effects artist paints a glow over the plain stick the actor swings around frame by frame (though digital rotoscoping allows you to occasionally skip frames). The term originally only applied to tracing live footage for animated cartoons; A Scanner Darkly is a recent example of a full film done this way.
I doubt there is a specific term to describe what your after, I can only think of Logo Extraction.
