Everyone: I've posted a logo rotoscoping tutorial on the wiki.

Sounds cool....could you point me to a link to the tut? Thanks in advance.

I hope I am using the correct term when I say rotoscoping. If not, someone please correct me (and tell me what the correct term is)! Here is a non-computer example of what I've called "rotoscoping": Imagine a Star Wars cover with a gold Star Wars logo on it and a black background. Take a pair of scissors, and cut out the logo so that there is no black background remaining. Now the logo can be glued onto a white surface (or any color). If we just cut out a rectangle with the logo in it then we could only place it onto a black surface, otherwise the rectangle would stand out.

My tutorial shows how to do the same with graphical images, so that the background is changed to a transparent color and the edges are partially transparent. Then, the logo has been freed from its original graphics and can now be placed onto any cover. This is better than just using the magic wand, because the wand doesn't give soft edges.
