Ever since I dived headfirst into comics, Frank Miller's The Dark Knight Strikes Again has sat on the shelf of the comic store, mocking me and beckoning me with evil whispers. I get so many mixed messages from those who have read it, particularly from the critics. IS THIS BOOK GOOD OR NOT? Do the people who reject it understand it? What's so horrible about it that gets comic fans up in arms about it?! I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE!!!
My decision whether or not to purchase this graphic novel basically hinges on the results of this poll...reasons for your answers are more than welcome... MTFBWY. Always.
i'll admit, baron, i liked it a lot. not as good as returns, but it's hard to top that. the commentary flow is kind of slow, but worth drudging through.
"No idea..." leads the way (hey, I had to vote something so I could see the results of my own poll!) so far, with mixed messages all the way. It really does appear to be a love/hate kind of book...
