Calling all Batman fans: to Strike Again or not to Strike Again?

Ever since I dived headfirst into comics, Frank Miller's The Dark Knight Strikes Again has sat on the shelf of the comic store, mocking me and beckoning me with evil whispers. I get so many mixed messages from those who have read it, particularly from the critics. IS THIS BOOK GOOD OR NOT? Do the people who reject it understand it? What's so horrible about it that gets comic fans up in arms about it?! I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE!!!

My decision whether or not to purchase this graphic novel basically hinges on the results of this poll...reasons for your answers are more than welcome...

Oh pooh. I though this was about the next batman movie. I know nothing of the comics. Sorry.

i'll admit, baron, i liked it a lot. not as good as returns, but it's hard to top that. the commentary flow is kind of slow, but worth drudging through.

I've not read it yet, mostly because half the people who I've heard voice an opinion hate it and the other half love it.

I've read bits and pieces of it, because I downloaded a .cbr file of it, and I wasn't impressed.
