POSSIBLE BAD NEWS ALERT
My wife just called to say that she installed the Mac OSX 10.4.7 update and now the machine won't start.
I am away on business and have been reading up about this problematic update which has been causing problems for people across the world.
Several posts mention that the system disc can become corrupted and that there will be data loss.
Some of 'Returning to Jedi' is on my external drives but there is also some on my main system drive along with everything else.
This could mean there is a massive delay on it's release or it could mean that I will not have the time or motivation to start again.
I will bring you up to date when I get back home on wednesday.

This is awful news.
I had always thought that Macs were virtually immune to those types of problems.
