So, back on topic, I've been meaning to watch LOST on DVD, but I haven't got around to picking it up. I'm more interested in starting a South Park collection.

But... HEY LUCAS, MCCALLUM! RELEASE DROIDS AND EWOKS! NOW!

Not if they're going to release them with the crappy new agey music they commissioned for the first video release. I want my Taj Majal and Stewart Copeland. Anything less is unacceptable.

Han Solo: I'm a nice man.

As do I. I'm going to have to hire the Manglers if the eventual complete DVD release doesn't have my Taj Majal and Stewart Copeland!

We're out of your league. The legal fees alone would kill you.

The Office season 1 is already on DVD. For the new stuff, you've gotta wait til the current season ends. Then give it a few months beyond that. I would suspect September. Just in time for the next season to kick off. That's how it's been working lately.

ITS ALIIIIVE, ITS ALIIIIVE!

I'm coming to the end of the huge stockpile of DVDs I bought, I've already caught up with Scrubs (all the way from the first ep of season one to the last of season 5 with the help of isohunt), Remington Steele, Adventures of Superman, and Lois and Clark.

Anyone have any suggestions, besides those already made, of any overlooked gems? Preferably hour longs and not 1/2 hour sitcoms(though if its good, I wouldn't mind that either).

I'm looking forward for the DVD release of Dark Wing Duck. I love that show haha. I watched that show everyday when I was little. So I can't wait for it

Anyone a fan of Jeeves and Wooster here?

Have you ever seen "The Honeymooners" TV show? All of those are available on DVD, and that's probably my all-time favorite TV show.

Wow, I didn't realize that there were only 39 episodes where it ran on its own away from Gleason's variety show? You learn something new everyday, it seems.

Samurai Jack on DVD = Awesome. How did such a great show not get pulled from the line up when there is crap like "My Gym Partner's a Monkey" in the world?

Cartoon Network lost its mind several years ago. I mean, what cartoons do they have on the air now? Some crappy show called Camp Lazlo, Fosters, and the previously mentioned My Gym Partner was a Monkey? All crap, IMO, and not because I'm 18 and am "too old for those shows."

Sure, many of the cartoons looked the same when Genndy Tartakovsky was king, but at least most of his shows were good.

True. They even ruined Boomerang. I thought it was a channel for classic cartoons like Bugs Bunny and Tom and Jerry, but I looked at the schedule and found hours and hours of shows like Two Stupid Dogs and Dexter's Laboratory...classics? I think not, they aren't even 10 years old yet.

a person is just has to buy the good stuff on dvd if they want to see the good stuff. although, admittedly, I have found HBO's kid's shows to be great for my daughter, and half the time i don't mind watching it.

I know what you mean, I don't think I've really sat down and watched TV for months, I just download the new shows that I want and buy the DVDs of older series.

DVD on TV is the majority of my collection. Who needs cable when you got a DVD player? No commercials and no waiting for next week's episodes.

The Dead Zone. If it wasn't for dvd, I'd never have discovered this wonderful show. Same with The 4400.

And these new slimline Stargate SG-1 dvds have finally gotten me into the show...
Which is the more foolish, the fool (the OT) or the fool who follows (the PT)?

Well, I'm inclined to agree with you, but hey, if Cartoon Network isn't gonna show them, Boomerang is all we got. Though I do question their sanity of putting awful shows like Two Stupid Dogs on there.

They also now have Batman: TAS, Superman: TAS, and Justice League on Boomerang in week nights, with old Superfriends shorts in between.
