Yes, that is feasible, but how crap would that be? It takes a touching scene about a young woman's memories of her heartbroken mother and turn sthem into yet another rationalization. To hell with these rationalizations. Lucas f'ed up. The End.

Of course, there is a simple remedy to all this: Don't watch or acknowledge the prequels, or watch them, but treat them as seperate entities, i.e, not the first 3 chapters of a 6 part saga.
