I know I have a tendency, if I'm in a long conversation with someone who has a very distinct or different (from me) dialect to begin to emulate how they speak. But even though I've been in Mississippi for 12 years, I have yet to actually incorporate a Southernisms into my everyday speech. So I don't think you have too much to worry about. Just keep it in check. ^_~
