Well I think Yoda became a joke in the PT. Literally. The old, wise Master Yoda is sitting and facing The Sith Lord and shows his infinite wisdom saying things like:" Difficult to tell who the Sith Lord is. Clouds darkside rain on everything. *burb* Another Jawa juice master Yoda requires..." "Good relations with the wookies I have" Everyone else raises an eyebrow. "That's master Yoda allright. We are lucky to have such a wise kermit as a leader..." Lucas turned the wise Jedi master into an action hero. Nice move there genious. Now you have kids thinking kermit with a lightsaber is cool. Lucas took what was once an icon of wisdom and pacifism and turned that into a raving lunatic. And I just don't buy it when people say, that it was allways meant to be like this. That Yoda was supposed to be war hero in the pt and then change his ways and become a hermit who speaks against war, violence and weapons. The character takes 180 after ROTS. It's not character development when it happens offscreen. It's bad story telling.
