Info & Help: No OOT preservation projects in Australia - help...

Hey guys,

Myself and many other Australians on this website have been clamouring for some OOT action for some time. I’ve asked around for copies of moth3r’s PAL transfer but everyone is reluctant to send it internationally. Other people tell me (and my Australian brethren) to seek a copy from someone within the country, but herein lies the chicken-and-egg problem: as far as I know, no one in Australia has these transfers - or at least, no member that I’ve seen/talked to on here.

So, if we’re going to get this ball rolling in Oz, we need someone to take the plunge and send it over. If you are Australian and you do have a copy of moth3r’s PAL transfer, please PM me, but given the highly doubtful probability of this scenario, can somebody please help us out here? A new member on here has expressed interest in getting hold of this, so if someone takes the plunge and sends a copy of the PAL OOT transfer, I promise to reimburse them for postage and costs via money order, and also to copy it and send it to this new member.

Sounds like a good idea. I'm Australian too and unfortunately the closest thing I have to the OOT is ocpmovie's Classic Editions. I would love for someone to introduce the Moth3r set into Australia. It's a shame that the best PAL transfer isn't circulating here already (especially since we're a PAL country).

On a semi-related note: let's have a show of hands... who's Australian here?

I'm Australian and have had Moth3r's transfer for ages, I received that from a New Zealander, and if a New Zealander has had it for ages then surely thousands of Australians had it before then!

Due to my computer having died ten months or so ago (shortly after receiving the disc), I haven't been in the disc collecting scene for a fair while, so I'd be happy to trade discs with either of you for Moth3r's transfer. Just PM me with your email address so we can talk it over without the 25 PM limit bugging us.

I only have really old ones, I think they're ... tr-47 or something. NZ here. But I don't even want to watch them until September, I'm looking forward to the release.

B.T.W. I originally thought u meant no September OOT from Lucasfilm in Australia... I bet a nickle there'll be none for us in NZ though, and as usual we get international release on the shelf instead.

They banned me, that was your problem - I used to send copies everywhere, including outside Australia - but lots of fellow Aussies got their sets as well! I would still be doing it if it wasn't for that. Oh and for the fact that there's now an official DVD coming!! Anyhow, I hope you enjoy the OT as much as I do.
