ohh so you hate them cuz they are competition. i hate blockbuster anyways. it's more a personal thing though cuz this super annoying guy used to work there and every time i'd go in he'd always ask me a million and 1 question. so i now affilate blockbuster with that guy.

My brother manages a Blockbuster, but I still think they suck. My brother and his co-workers are an exception, because they all know their stuff and are every helpful, but usually in Blockbuster you get some monkey who knows nothing about films. Also, Blockbuster hardly ever stock older movies. The Blockbuster in Jamestown, North Dakota is an exception though - they have lots of older movies, probably because the town is full of hillbillys so Blockbuster HQ doesn't give a shit about them, but as a result it's actually the best Blockbuser I've ever been in. I recently went to rent Superman 1 but I wanted the DVD and they didn't have it, so the manager called a rival video store in town for me and they had it so I went and got it from there - now that's service.

I imagine Dayv's store to be a REAL video store. Like those old antiquarian book stores you find in some backstreet in New York (only movies instead of book, of course) - Mountains of movies, every title under the sun, and only Dayv knows where each and every one is. Any movie you want, they have it. A real movie fan's video store, the kind of place where you think to yourself 'I really want to watch *insert obscure movie*' and you just know Dayv's store will have it. Or even if you don't know the title, you just name the actor, maybe even just the storyline, and there's Dayv, climbing a ladder to get you the exact movie you desire.

And I'm sure they do stock the Special Editions, but I bet Dayv sets anyone who rents it straight

This is my 3140th post, which is a rather insignificant number except for one key point: I am now 100 posts ahead of Gaffer. His reign over me was short lived, and only occurred because I allowed him to catch up (it was his birthday).

Everything is back to normal in the YIYF/Gaffer world.

You know perfectly well that had I continued to post at the same rate I'd been posting since I got out of school, I'd now probably be 150 posts ahead of you. I've just been limiting my computer time for experiences in the real world, and, of course I have a job now. But let me just get back into the swing of things, and we'll see a new world: the Gaffer/YIYF world. Yeah, see notice how your name is second?! ^_~

yeah that was a long time ago, like back in 2004. i was at like 5000 in like 18 months.
