Football imho, is much more exciting to watch. Atleast there is alot more scoring. To me nothing is sports compares with watching a team that is behind trying to move the ball down field to score with less than two minutes to play and no time outs.

Warb, you'r entitled to your sporting opinion, but some of your posts make it seem that you don't know what you are talking about. 'Soccer' doesn't require strategy? Or intelligence? 'Soccer' requires 'just Brute Strength'?

Also, there are no time outs in 'Soccer', and the same excitement of watching (or hoping for) your team to move the ball down the field to score with less than 2 minutes to play can be (and often is) found in 'Soccer' too. And, IMO, the fact that goals are fairly rare in 'Soccer' adds to the excitement - they are much more valuable, anticipated and appreciated that way. A single goal can make or break a goal, because there won't be 25 more still to come.

I've already stated that I don't know enough about American football to comment and therefore I won't. They seem to be two totally different games, and I'm sure American football has many merits. The only thing that bugs me is the name, for the reasons C3PX already addressed. I wish they didn't share a name so stupid comparisons like this wouldn't occur, and so I wouldn't have to call it 'Soccer' as I have been doing for this whole post.
