)But i definitely prefer the modified versions, they fit much better to the prequeels. and for me, i have been a big fan of the prequeels, and i loved it much more than the old series.
I think both groups of fans should get what they want, thos who love the original versions should get a high quality transfer. i cannot believe that it would be such a high price to restore the complete material in original form, most of the restauration has already been done on the new versions, the just have to cut the material like the old versions have been cut and mayby have to restore a few extra frames. the letter they posted regarding the transfer of the original series from laserdisk sounds stupid to me, i dont think the afford to restore the material to original state is so high as they claimed.
But on the other hand, ther are fans like me, for whom the special edition is not special enough, as i said, all the computer stuff lokks so old, i would even replace some interior inside the death star for example with new cgi. the death star is built with imperial perfection, so it should look this way. and one more thing i would like to be changed, the death star explosion should be changed. in anh its a big bang, compared to the explosion of the robot control ship it looks quite lame. cgi could change this.
and i dont like the muppet show. not at all. it is not perfect. cgi is more perfect than life thats why i like its perfection
