I joined the forum recently and am currently working on two ideas for re-edits (both non-Star Wars) that I will be starting on shortly when I get an upgrade in my equipment.
To prepare, I am collecting CD versions of the soundtracks for the movies I will be editing to try to get as close to the actual original sound as possible.
My question is: Has anybody in this forum had any success with a way of dropping out the soundtrack and leaving the original dialogue intact to facilitate re-editing? If so, what method did you use? I know that music remixers have a technique that they use with somewhat spotty success to create acapellas, but I was wondering if you have any tips for this process.
