I liked it a lot. I never saw the first one, but one of the people I went with did and said it was very close to the original. I did like that they incorperated some modern stuff into the story, like natural and political disasters telling the forecoming of the devil's child. My reccomendation: go see it. I thought all the actors were pretty good. David Thewlis gave the best preformance as the photographer; Julia Stiles was fairly wooden though as the mother; and the kid wasn't evil enough. He was too cute to be believable.
