Episode III on HBO in HD

I just got done downloading Star Wars Episode III Revenge of the Sith in 1080i from a.b.HDTV Unfortunaly, I can only view it on my XBOX 360 through VGA cable. That only goes to 720p. Anyone here see it on HBO in 1080i? How was it? And how much better then the DVD is it?

I'd imagine the video will look astoundingly clear (said Captian Obvious). But seriously, I still think it all looked better when I saw it on film in the theater. Digital (at this point in time) takes away some "realism" to everything.

But my opinion aside, I'd still like to see it in 1080i and would love to see it in 1080p whenver that becomes possible. In particular I'd want to watch the final fights sequence or the opening battle because they would really be interesting to watch just to find all the small details DVD can't give.

Hey look, a bear!

Strange how displaying cgi in a very detailed way (high definition on a big screen) can help reduce its unrealistic-looking factor.

I saw it in 1080i, and must say WOW! It was so crystal clear, it was amazing. I thought it looked better (not sure if my eyes were playing tricks on me) then when I saw it digitally in Boston. Definitely a must watch if you can find someone who has HBO and a HDTV. I'd love for HBO to show all 3 PT movies back to back, that'd be great (obviously all 6 would be awesome). Hopefully we'll eventually get the uber HD set (OOT included) all presented in HD (whatever format wins). It was truely meant for the way for these movies were to be seen.

I'm curious, what was the size of that?
“Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country.” — Nazi Reich Marshal Hermann Goering

Someone should get Tim Burton's Batman on HD from HBO as well.

This maybe a stupid question but......these are in widescreen right?
For some reason, the "Hey, That's My Dinner" line has ALWAYS bothered me.

1080i OAR, original aspect ratio = 16:9 widescreen.

It's widescreen, but the Original Aspect Ratio of the movie is 2.35:1
16:9 is only 1.77:1, so even if you watch the movie on a 16:9 TV set, you'll have black bars at the top and bottom of the frame.

Han: Hey Lando! You kept your promise, right? Not a scratch?
Lando: Well, what’s left of her isn’t scratched. All the scratched parts got knocked off along the way.
Han (exasperated): Knocked off?!

sorry about that, but yeah its 2.35:1, though.
