And thanks for the comments regarding the trailer, Knightmessenger and Darth Richard. Maybe I will do a teaser like the S.E., and then for the theatrical, just make it as though it was always that way- it's a good idea.
Work continues... I'm a little behind on my completion plan, but I'll be catching up soon. I've plowed my way through so far all the way (besides the Jar-Jar dialogue) until the nightmare sequence, which I'm still trying to find the best cut for. I don't want to lock it down yet, because there are a couple shots I'm not happy with.
I also have another idea once I do complete this movie- I want to do a quick single layer encode with no extras and send it to a couple folks with the highest interest in the project. A common editing phenomenon is that after you stare and analyze something you've done a million times, it starts looking good no matter what. This could be what happened with Grevious. After hearing it over and over and over, you start to get used to it. To an actual audience member, the voice sounds extremely stupid.
I want to pick a couple with great interest in the project, as well as one person that likes fan edits but hasn't heard of the changes in advance. I'd like these people to get me a written report as to what (if anything) was jarring in terms of editing, pacing, or dialogue. Then, I can implement any changes into the much more time-consuming dual-layer encode for general release. The first version could also hold over those of you who are losing sleep because this isn't in their DVD player yet (where are you, MTH?

Sound good to you?
