From my post on DVDtalk:

Here is the email I wrote to Anchor Bay/ Manga:

About your upcoming Street Fighter II- The Animated Movie uncut release: Am I reading correctly that there will be two separate cuts of the movie, English and Japanese? I would much rather prefer the Japanese cut of the movie only where you can choose the language in English or Japanese. So if I want to watch the movie fully uncut, I have to do it with the Japanese audio? Am I understanding that correctly? It really wouldn't be that difficult to sync the US/UK audio with the full Japanese video. I know there are many more cuts besides the shower scene in which the Japanese soundtrack can be substituted in those instances, as all of the cut scenes have no dialouge.

And the reply from "Keith Burgess" :

Actually that is incorrect we can't just sync the audio as there are sound effects tracks and music tracks as well. And a bad attempt at this will create an old style kung fu movie which is out of sync and a waste of a DVD, to do it properly would mean a complete re-dub and M/E track replacement.

Ha! I did it. I extended the English audio and synced it up with the complete, full uncut video. And THEY said it couldn't be done. I used a little bit of audio from the Japanese track, but mostly just extended the English audio with what was already there. I also spliced the English credit sequence onto the end, but the Japanese credits will be there as an extra. As far as the opening credits, you can choose to watch them in English or Japanese. When that is finished, the rest of the movie will play.
