Maybe supermauerbros is refering to the 1992 Director's Cut for later this year? As proven by this thread, they've been sitting on a rather nice transfer.

I wouldn't really call it a crash release. This year's possible 2-disc re-release of the '92 DC probably won't include much new in terms of bonus material and they've still probably got over a year to work on the Final Cut and supplements. Not to mention some of the work that was already done before they had to close shop.
