There is no reason to be grateful for anything. They are putting out a product. As consumers, we are being asked to purchase this product. Now it's our turn to see if what they put out is worth our money. If it's given to us as a gift, then yes, be grateful to the person that gave it to you. But when you purchase a product, they expect to be compensated. Grateful doesn't factor in at all.
