Ha ha, that's funny. The originals were not anamporphic but people want Lucas to alter it to be Anamorphic. Don't f*** with my Original star wars. I want them to be in the real perspective and nothing more or less.

Know what you're talking about before you start typing. Anamorphic is not an alteration, it is a video presentation method. It analogous to the difference between scanning a picture at web resolution vs. scanning it at print resolution. The image is the same, just with sharper detail for more modern equipment. No alteration or enhancement. Just a more detailed scan. But if you like, I suppose you can have your frames printed out on a dot-matrix printer to take advantage of 1983 resolution.
Lynne's response shows, just as the "Deliberate Creative Decision" debacle of 2004, that LFL isn't even taking the time to familiarize itself with the issue. She keeps talking about what would be involved in a restoration, and doesn't actually address the issue of an anamorphic presentation. Either they are stupid, or they think we are.
I think it is wonderfully ironic that THX is responsible for creating these legions of videophiles across the globe.
