hi, this is about something I've been pondering about while watching Episode III... (you know.. the one with cheesy dialogue.)

There are quite a few Grievous fans out there stating that somehow, if General Grievous didn't become an Android (Or did... I forgot), he would have learned to use the force and become more powerful than Yoda and/or Anakin... Ok, I think that's a load of crap, but seriously... could that be true somehow?

as much as I don't like Fan-made official biographies and stuff... can this be in any way true?

what do you people think about General Grievous? ... I myself think he's just another stupid asset George put in making Dooku useless in the first place.... but movie-wise, he's just another sneaky weird bad guy boss who's no where on the level of Jedi Kinghts.... and I also find the idea of him hunting down Jedi crappy. How can he possibly kill off a Jedi?

what is it with Grievous?

I always thought it'd be cool if you could show that Grevious was actually Darth Maul, and that the androidization (?) was a precursor to Darth Vader

I always thought he was stupid and irritating with a horribly annoying voice that made me want to stop watching every time he appeared on-screen, and I was so happy when Obi-Wan finally took him out simply so I wouldn't have to deal with that useless subplot anymore and get to the important stuff: Darth Vader's tragedy.

first no grievous was nto even force sensitive enough to become a jedi, let alone be more powerful the yoda and anakin. he was more like a thrawn character. who was super brillent. it was actually sidous who found him, put him in the hands of one of the seperatists, who then arranged for a crash that almost killed him, and destroyed his body. they did all this so that the coudl get into his mind and turn him into a crasy cold hearted general. the reason he was able to kill jedi is cause his body was designed to make movements like jedi, and dooku who according to the PT novels was one of the best sword masters in the history of the jedi. if you can imagine how much a car junky knows about cars well, dooku was the same with with saber fighting. anyway thats why grievous was able to kill jedi, cause he was designed with super strength agility, and trained to use his body, rather then programed.

as for the trageaty of Darth Vader, man they really flesh out what turned anakin, and i dont know how they could have put that in the movie without a narrorator.

hey do you think it would have been cool if the whole PT had been told as a tale from the ghosts to luke after the OT. to have everything narrorated by yoda, obiwan and anakin, and have eash complement eachother as they told the story. i wonder if that could still be done really easily, or if that could be made in a fan edit. it would take ALOT of work involving finding a voice actor and a makeing a good script

its either in the ROTS novel or labrinth of evil. i dont know which one cause i read both of them one after the other, and they way they are written when you put them together they are like one seemless novel.

also man i use the avatar to reflect my mood, now-a-days. and something happened yesterday... and thats how i feel inside.

Please don't let ot.com devolve into tfn. We don't deserve that; we've been through enough. I understand that one or two discussions about those dogshit films are necessary to achieve universal balance, but if I see one "who wood win - suprman or anukin lol" threads, I will smite your ass.

umm excuse me, but F*ck off, just cause you didnt like the films doesnt mean that others didnt, nor does it mean that people shouldnt talk about them or the EU. there is more then just the OT and since this is a starwars site, there should be discussion about it.

I don't see that he was necessarily saying anything about discussing the PT or the EU. It seemed to me like he just wanted to avoid the general stupidity that pervades so many other boards which quickly digresses into childish “my fave character can beat up your fave character” arguments.

Why he brought it up in the first place is still beyond me, but your reaction was a bit out of place.

well my impression was that he was talking about the PT when he says things like " discussions about those dogshit films " and also seeing that i was talking about the EU version of grevious, that also implies that he was also refering to the EU. i fyou dont want to read about stuff then dont read, and dont post there are tons of other topics out there.

Perhaps, but spewing such vitriol toward a series of films and doing the same toward another person are two vastly different entities.

I've made it clear several times that I myself enjoy the PT very much. But when someone decides that they need to attack those films, it's really no skin off of my back because, quite frankly, it will always come down to an argument of opinions on a largely unquantifiable subject.

yeah thats was more frustration, there is only one thread about the PT thats up right now, everthing else is about the OOT. not only that but they are all about the same thing. and to have a guy come in here and start bashing it up saying that we shouldnt talk about.

I understand, trust me. The internet can be a fucking war zone sometimes. I'm just hoping that everyone can get along so we can have a unified front on the issue at hand.

There's no reason everyone can't get along here because this place has never been about the worth of the PT, or even the worth of the SEs... it has always been about the worth of the OOT. None of these things have ever been mutually exclusive, regardless of what Lucas would have us believe.

Now if you’ll excuse me, Jeff Fahey is giving Sean Young the high hard one on TV right now and she has her shirt off… I’ll be back in a moment.
