Don't forget that the 20GB version will not have the good Blu Ray-out connections so you can hook it up to your TV. In effect, if you want to use the Blu Ray, you need the $600 unit. Sony is making two models, but effectively forcing you to buy the higher-end model. I'll bet this will also be reflected in production quantities. The $400 model will have few to none actually made. There will be some to cater to those who don't know any better. But, the bulk of their production efforts will be on the $600 jobber.

While this isn't the textbook definition, it strikes me as a variant of bait and switch. You offer Blu Ray capabilities, but, you know what, it only really works on the expensive model. Wonder if there will be a legal flap over this at all.
