Hmm, imstillhiro1112 kind of reminds me of somebody we used to know, somebody who used to go about praising the Holiday Special all the time.

I only watched the show for the first time a few days ago so That guy is different from me.

And Scruffy, I do know very well how lame training videos can be, however, while they may be cheesy and corny whatever else, they usually stop short of a woman singing to a bunch of drunken aliens to go home for the night because the bar is closing.

The military at times of war have sent musicians to perform for them so perhaps that is sorta what this is. I mean it don't seem like they get time to watch tv cause that one soldier got a kick out of that Jefferson Starship hologram video thing. So this was a sorta info/entertainment video hybrid.

I have sat through the entirety of the HS and I had wanted to see it for many many years and was very happy when I finally got my hands on a decent enough copy. Then I forced myself with great difficulty to sit through it. I would prefer to consider the novels as canon over this thing. It makes our heros out to be dumb silly gits who can't sing. What was that stupid life day song to the SW tune, horrible. I think it is okay for a curiosity, and I wont jugde certian ones who seem to get excited by the mere mention of it, but I certainly don't feel those who have not seen it have missed out on anything.

I don't think any of the heroes came off all that dumb. Sure Han hugged Chewie, but it was a friendly hug of two mutual friends who been thru hell together several times over. And Leia wasn't singing for no reason, she was singing a song that was probably traditional to the Life Day holiday. Just like how we have Jingle bells. And she was really the only one at that ceremony that could sing it. None of the guys wanted to probably, and Wookies probably can't sing very good. From what I could see noone was really out of character, the cheesiest parts came from other aspects.
