Hi all, I came accross this site while looking up info about the official releases of the OT and thought it would be a great place to ask about a laserdisc conversion I've been wanting to do. I am a big collector of vintage video games and video game memorabilia, and I have recently come across one of the laserdiscs that were used in Nintendo kiosks at Toys R Us in the late 1980s through early 1990s. I am aware that this disc is one of probably only an extremely small handful out there, and would love to convert it for preservation.

I have never tried to do something like this before. Right now, I am at the stage of looking for a good video capture card and a decent laserdisc player. I would appreciate it greatly if someone could point me in the direction of a good guide to laserdisc-dvd conversion. One thing that I'm concerned about is that I would like to, if at all possible, have the menu intact as it appears on the laserdisc. While the laserdisc was playing at the store, using the kiosk's touch pad to select your game was a big part of the experience, and I would prefer not to have a generic menu.

Any help is appreciated!
