Aside from the fact that i doubt Lucas is that immature, the SE's were clearly motivated by his genuine desire to correct and improve his original compromises--he was talking about this stuff in 1977 for gods sake. Also the release of this OOT, despite being advertised as an extra, would still provide royalties.
