A draft that was beloved by everyone for 20 years? Sorry to burst your bubble, but the OOT has been out a hell of a lot longer than Lucas mind boggling "definitive" version.

How would you feel if the director for Gone With the Wind went back and altered the movie and gave Atlanta a much bigger burning scene, filled with huge explosions and balls of flame because the movie was only a 67 year old draft and the "technology" didn't exisist back then to make bigger burning scenes.

....Just like the technology to hire a younger actor for the end scene in ROTJ didn't exist in 1983 so Lucas had to put Hayden in there 2 years ago.
