For example after Gandalf meets Aragon and co. is when he tells them about his battle with the balrog, so it makes sense not to show that scene until that point in the film.
I'm aware of that, but in the movie format, it can be a little overwhelming. My concern was more directed at reinstating all the Eomer stuff later into the film.
