I'm glad you see the resemblance, and that I'm not just grasping at straws. I'm not surprised you haven't heard of it. I hadn't heard of it until about a year and a half ago when audition announcements went up. Most people I've talked to seem to not like it. I found it rather enjoyable. It's classified by Shakespearean... classifiers as a romance. It really combines aspects of tragedy, comedy, farce, and romance. The first half is decidedly tragic, but the second half is much more humorous and less realistic.
